About this artwork

A glowing light at the edge of a tree line breaks the cool silence of night. Shao says he was inspired by the solitude of southern Utah's red rock canyons. Part of an edition of acrylic and oil monotype prints, printed on Asian rice paper using a technique derived from ancient Chinese printmaking practices.Even though this work is in an edition, each piece in the series is unique and worked by hand.
