About this artwork
These works were created using a custom built video synthesizer that was fed audio input to effect digital images. The source images are live feeds from inside my studio and the audio input was a spoken word poem called New Water that I wrote. The digital images were produced on inkjet printable perforated vinyl and layered several times. The panel and backing were made by hand from cold rolled and galvanized steel. the titles breaks down like this.. I See Them in Montage = the phrase that was spoken into the synth that generated the image Sound Synthesis = the process the work was created within C on C on C = a Color print layered on a Color print layered on a Color print Poem Painting = this body of work is called the Poem Paintings New Water = the poem this work is from
