About this artwork

This painting considers a view along Broadway looking west in Santa Monica, California. The gauzy sky, full of light, almost succeeds in washing out the evergreen palm trees while rendering the bare limbs of a sugar maple in stark silhouette. The edges of this painting are not finished. The painting is wired for hanging.
