About this artwork

Vapor trails create drama and movement in orange and ocher toned skies. The formations of the beautiful hills are highlighted by the orange glow of the setting sun and it's deep shadows. The suggestion of radiating fields in the foreground pull the viewer's eye into the heart of the landscape. This atmospheric painting lies somewhere between realism and abstraction. The foreground recalls a traditional landscape but is painted in an expressionistic, abstracted technique.
