About this artwork
With my palette box and canvas in tow, I climb a gently rising hill toward a treelined ridge. Is this an abandoned pasture or tall grass prairie? Cows haven't grazed here in quite a while. Purple thistles and Black-eyed Susans have sprung up everywhere. I decide to stop and paint while the sky is blue and white clouds are rolling by. This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes varnished, wired, and ready to hang.
