About this artwork

Before the comparatively wet winters of the last two years, California endured several years of intense drought. At the height of summer I made of series of large still life paintings based on a roll of fabric, the floral print of which seemed to make an incongruous promise of water in its flowing ceruleans and cobalts. This painting has white edges. It is wired for hanging.
