About this artwork

In his current Reflections series, Andres Lopez takes time to study everyday occurrences around his home in Miami, Florida. It's in these moments that he is able to capture a compelling, alternate view of our world. After the rain the streets become mirrored to reflect the houses and buildings, and revealed the splendor of this old yellow tower, says Andres. In this painting, the puddle in the street acts as a window to another world. The orientation of the composition heightens the effect, letting the imagination wander to different times and places.
