About this artwork

When I am not painting or spending time with family, I can be found reading. I have always been attracted to reading and visiting book stores. I frequent a few favorite used bookstores. In this painting I tried to capture the slight disarray and ambiance of one of them. Even the odor of yellowing pages is something should permeate the painting. Book dealers are always interesting to me. This particular book dealer reminds me of one of my early mentors in college. The painting is varnished and wired for hanging. The edges are unfinished hence, framing for display is suggested.
