About this artwork

Long ago, I studied fabric design and weaving. I never thought that there would be a continuous thread (so to speak!) in my current painting with oil and cold wax. I enjoy applying the paint with my hands and various scraping tools for a very tactile experience with layers of texture. This piece is on a cradled panel, sides are unpainted waxed wood. This piece is wired to hang.
