About this artwork
The thing that intrigued me most about this scene from Ireland are the contrasting colors of the North Atlantic Ocean, and the sheer rugged cliffs of the Irish Dingle peninsulas. Liquin Impasto mixed with rich-hued pigments painted over a cerulean toned canvas creates incredible texture and detail. The jewel tones in the water are achieved by mixing several blues into the semi transparent impasto gel. I know you will want to frame it, but I painted around the edges anyway so that you can hang it right out-of-the-box. This painting will make a nice addition to your collection with it's gem-like colors. Swirling Waters would make a wonderful one-of-a-kind gift!
