About this artwork
Sitting on the back of her sailboat, artist Sheila Finch watched the daredevil kite surfers catching gale force winds at Pillar Point Harbor this October. They became black dots trailing spray on the water as the sun set behind the late day clouds, until all she could see were their kites lifting in the winds. This painting is created on archival cradled poplar wood with a birch face which was prepared with archival oil primer.
