About this artwork
Artist Jeff Fleming paints two dogs splashing happily in the water, playing with a beach ball. The fun of summer captured in a snapshot in time, says Jeff. He begins the light-hearted piece with a pencil sketch, then with gloved hands, applies oil paint using his fingers. Once the paint dries, Jeff moves the work to his studio floor, and in his signature kinetic impressionist style, he animates the playful scene with lively splatters of paint made with brushes and string that mimic water droplets.
