About this artwork

When painting this particular still life, Malia was more engaged with the shapes and perspective of the subject matter. She chose to eliminate any close-up details such as the seeds and highlight the natural heart-shape of these sweet strawberries. This painting was actually done on Valentine's Day, which also explains the inspiration and title of the piece.
