About this artwork

With Wabi-sabi my objective was to create a neutral palette with pops of bright orange color. The title is Japanese. English translation is accepting the flow of life and it's imperfections. The geisha appears to walk towards a bright light. Rich layers of paint give the piece texture at places. Gold leaf peaks through the less concentrated areas of the canvas. The work is wired to hang with the painting continuing around the sides.
