About this artwork

This original figurative painting was inspired by a view from my balcony at Hotel Lutetia in St. Germain. I captured the walking figure and his long cast shadow on St. Germain with video and then painted it on archival, museum wrap canvas with my signature Pixel Impressionism marks in which the expressive brush strokes of oil paint depict moving pixels from the original digital reference.
