About this artwork

My set-ups for still life paintings, while dimly lit, are often starkly offset by dark backgrounds - wood stained a glossy black or the graphite sheen of ceramic pottery. These surfaces are highly reflective and offer the chance to paint a subject in triplicate, as in this painting of a pared orange. The edges of this painting are white. It is wired and ready for hanging.
