About this artwork

This painting was inspired by Liana Vines-woody vines that grow in rainforests. I learned that these vines, which appear to be a jumble of haphazard curlicues, have a method to their madness: by having so many twists and curls, if the branch they've grown on moves, the vines will stretch and bend, but not break. A nice lesson on resilience: just have a few extra curls and you can weather anything. This piece has gallery-wrapped edges and is wired for easy hanging.
