About this artwork

Artist Paula Martino paints an impressionistic meadow at the peak of budding. Spring is renewal, renewal is hope, says Paula. Lavender ivy, green, and pale yellow grasses stretch the spirited field. A large tree with fresh blossoms towers in the middle ground. In contrast, an old stump covered in weeds lies on the bottom right. She applies the paint with a palette knife, leaving a visibly thick impasto.
