About this artwork

Decisive brushwork and subtle color shifts bring magic to this winter New Jersey beach scene. Artist Onelio Marrero contrasts the expanse of climbing clouds with the repetitive lines of the receding surf. The nearly still water and wet sand in the foreground play against the textured shoreline. Fleeting glimpses of seagulls in the shallows and distant walkers hint at the salt in the air.
