About this artwork

My inspiration for this painting was a small plein air sketch, done on location at the edge of San Francisco Bay. I intend for the viewer to be able to enter the scene easily at this large scale. Lots of layering of textures and glazes give this painting a golden glow. Edges are black and a cable is attached.
