This is Penny. She is from the 1950's, like a character emerging straight from a Hitchcock film. She is chasing something (or running from someone) - maybe both. EIther way, she is caught in the middle, in transition - but still stunning. This is how oil paint should be used; thick/impasto/painterly, yet loose, drippy and free. It encompasses a style uniquely its own - somewhere in between drawing with paint and expressionist brushstrokes.
