About this artwork

The geishas walk together on the uneven cobblestone path to the temple set in the background. The women hope existing turmoil in the world abates and a time of peace awaits. Nothing worthwhile is easy, thus the uneven walkway reflects their struggles. This painting suggests the possibility of finding enlightenment through connection to each other. By walking the path together a bond can be formed. The brighter colors in the background predict an illuminated future. The work is wired to hang. the painting continues around the sides of the gallery wrapped canvas.
