About this artwork

This Curly Girl was originally intended for an auction to benefit a local non-profit aimed at preventing domestic violence and supporting victims. Another piece ended up going to the auction instead, and this one ended up being part of a juried exhibition. Evoking empowerment, strength, and defiance, this piece is meant to show that any hurdle can be overcome.
