A small house proudly stands at the top of a grassy hill, warmed by the morning sunlight. This painting is a typical motif of the family farms found throughout this area near Ottawa, says artist Doug Cosbie. Settled over 200 years ago by mostly poor Irish and Scottish immigrants.
