About this artwork

These were built when the dream was to own one new automobile, or even a nice used one. the venerable models A and T were early occupants. And when you landed that contract with steady work, maybe something a little better to show your raised status on the lot; an extra no more and maybe a star soon. Now they house machines who's price tags verge on the surreal. But the doors are still the same wood. The driveways and paths through the labyrinth have aged gracefully also. The canvas if finished on all sides, hanging wire is stretched across the back; it ready to hang as is. There is a light coat of Gamvar (a modern varnish) over the surface.
