About this artwork
This is one of my favorite motives of painting. In this work I have tried to express hot midday sun and vineyards in the mountains of Armenia (South Caucasus). The composition and colors came from my sketches I did locally. Old abandoned barns with colorful landscape make a dramatic view. In order to get the bright day impression of the sun and feeling of life. In this painting I used very thick texture of oil with expressive brush strokes. I choose format of square for my composition and high contrast for brightness.
