About this artwork

This modern oil painting was inspired by my love of all things urban. It's just an ordinary rainy day scene of the Eastside Marriott Hotel on Lexington Avenue in New York City. I love rain, city lights, reflections, and New York. When you combine the four variables, it's amazing chemistry! This painting is 100% palette knife, with no brushwork, which creates a loose and gestural city scape. Sides are painted with continuous pattern and colors. Wired, and ready to hang.
