About this artwork

We often take a drive on the weekends out of the San Francisco Bay, to Monterey Bay. As my husband plays with the kids, I captured these moments with my knives, where despite the drought, the ice plants bloom serendipitously. The luminous golds of the beaches and cliffs, Pacific aquamarine blues, and wildflowers make a beautiful coastal color palette. Sides are painted with gallery wrap finish, on a deep edge canvas, and it is wired, ready to hang.
