About this artwork

Artist Onelio Marrero painted this early autumn scene of a pond from a memory of a singularly peaceful nature walk. He focused on the late afternoon sunlight stretching out across the water and warming the far bank. I executed the painting with some rich impasto and subtle nuances of color as the reflections of the sky played on the water, says Onelio.
