About this artwork

Alana pulls from memories from her early childhood in Gracetown, Western Australia, where she spent one magical sunset with her dad watching thousands of swallows swarm a little canyon that she sat in. Using dusty hues to emulate the red rock that she sat on, and the fire of the sunset in the sky, Alana has combined old memories with new. Of flighty swallows combined with a Lone Bison, from her new country of America, where she now resides.
