About this artwork

This title was inspired by the Beatles' song about a girl in their dreams. The colors, brushwork and wistful pose of the figure in this piece create a subtle tension between movement and stillness. Pamela begins her process by using large brushes to create strong abstract shapes to form the structure of the composition. She stands several feet away from her canvas and works with long-handled brushes to achieve a loose feeling in the finished painting.
