About this artwork

The high canopy of an oak hickory Savannah opens up just enough to encourage a patch of wild asters. Light streams through to highlight the scarlets, pinks, lavenders, purples, and rose hues of this wild woods flower. And I imagined they would be all one color. The painting is varnished and gallery wrapped. That is, the image continues on the sides. It is wired and ready to hang.
