About this artwork
Yangzi used to work in a building right at the crossing of Chicago River and La Salle Street. This is a scene that never failed to wow her in the cold, dim winter afternoons after she finished a day’s work. The river has a beautiful dark teal color, with various sizes and shapes of ice floating on it. With the building forest as the background, the lights on the bridge shine brilliantly and cast delicate reflections on the river.
