About this artwork
A country lane that once led to a barn and homestead. The farm is gone and the wind works havoc with the remaining trees. The prairie grasses are closing in on remnants of a once well used road. I struggle to start a painting as the wind breaks branches and sends them flying past. This painting is gallery wrapped on 1 ½” stretcher bars. The painted scene continues on the sides. It is unframed, wired, and ready to hang. The painting has been allowed to dry for 6 months and a final varnish applied. I used Winsor & Newton Conserv-Art Matt Varnish.
