About this artwork
This painting captures late summer colors. The artist shows the contrast between a distant ridge of yellowing sugar maples and a cloudy blue sky. Standing waist deep in a field of tall goldenrod she made the first broad brush strokes. After several visits to the field to confirm her first impression, Suzanne finished this painting in her studio.
