A modernist still life of golden and green mangoes arranged on a lavender tabletop. White floral prints on a blue kitchen towel add visual interest, along with the red wall and green grass visible from the window. I was inspired by Gauguin and a trip to India, says artist Feng Biddle. Mangoes were on my mind - both in taste and color - when I painted this.
