About this artwork

Gathering' was inspired by the works of Aron Wiesenfeld, and features a woman who is drawn in such a way where one cannot tell if she is a young girl or a grown woman, explains artist Naoko Paluszak. The inclusion of hummingbirds adds to the surreal and magical atmosphere surrounding the female subject. Plus, hummingbirds attract people! The sharp detail and shading of the girl's face contrast with her surroundings, creating a dreamlike feeling.
