About this artwork

Being a single father and working a full-time job limits the time I have to paint, shares artist Christopher Garvey. This painting is an allegory that represents the feeling of being overwhelmed and distracted. The statue is looking away at the large blank canvas in the background, longing to begin work while being surrounded by the chaos. It's that moment when all of the complete disorder around you pulls you away from what you would rather be doing.
