About this artwork

This is another scene from the beach on Ocracoke, NC. One year we went down with our dog. Poor thing, to get there he spent 20 hours in a car in a space I reserved that measured no more the 2 x 2 feet. When we let him loose on that endless beach, you could feel his total joy being free jumping in the surf and running around without a leash tugging on his collar. That's what I like about dogs; they live in the present. We should follow their example. We'd be happier creatures ourselves.
