Crystal says this painting was inspired by the beautiful light and shadows after a rare desert snowstorm.She used a limited palette of blues and white and an intricate style of impressionist brushwork to capture the cool, bright morning. The lines of the snow and plants draw the eye back to the distant peaks and off to the left.
