About this artwork

I tend to be an early riser and rely mostly on an inner clock. My wife and I stayed at a bed and breakfast and the early morning sun made it's way into the room through a gap in the window treatments. The sun cut a bright shaft of light right onto my side of the bed. I might have gotten up anyway but the crisp light ensured that I would be up in time to see and capture the beauty of the moment as my wife lay nestled in the sea of sheets and quilts. The painting is varnished, wired, and ready for hanging. The edges are clean white gesso.
