About this artwork

This painting was done at my studio referring to a plein air study done on location in Berkeley on the edge of San Francisco Bay. I wanted to capture the sense of taking a break in a perfect spot. The surface is very textured and reveals layers of paint. The edges are black and a cable is attached.
