About this artwork
My Floating Egg series are inspired by antique English prints. The feathers in the nest almost seem to be encouraging the egg to find it's way out into the universe. The egg is created with real eggshells collaged onto the canvas, then painted and shaded. The sides are finished in black and it is wired to hang.
