An abstract garden of blooming red and pink flowers, made up of many layers of hand-patterned papers, magazine clippings, and herbalism pages incorporated with acrylic paint. Part of Joyanna's signature series of 'negative space' floral scenes. The story they tell is that joy can grow from any beginning - whether sad, happy, angry or empowered, she says. Joyanna begins each painting with vibrant color work and then completes the art by adding the negative space that defines her whimsical bouquets and gardens.
