About this artwork
Draped in a colorful blanket and holding a bamboo birdcage, a regal horse strides purposefully against a backdrop of distant mountains. A pair of swallows fly through the sky above. Artist Jennifer Ross created the piece using eggshell fragments, drawing inspiration from the Japanese technique of mending pottery called Kintsugi. She views the process as an artistic meditation, and the title is inspired by Julia Cameron's iconic book, The Artist’s Way.
