About this artwork

When living in the Bay Area resident, the painter rode his bike all over, but never on the Golden Gate Bridge. In that respect, The Early Biker is a depiction of a dream. Given the contrast between the fog and the bridge's orange vermilion hue—chosen specifically to enhance the bridge visibility in fog—it is also an impressionist's dream.
