About this artwork

Two chestnut horses with star facial markings stand together under a starlit sky. Artist Jennifer Ross composed this nocturnal equine piece using her Kintsugi Eggshell technique. Inspired by the Japanese artform of repairing broken objects with gold lacquer, she collaged white and brown eggshell fragments onto the canvas and applied metallic paint into the cracks of the horse’s stars.
