About this artwork
A mixed media piece of palomino and pinto horses standing side by side. Jennifer's technique using collaged eggshells is inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, repairing broken pottery with gold. Jennifer says The philosphy of the Kintusgi artform is that something is stronger and more beautiful because it is imperfect. She complimented the texture of the eggshells by using a thick acrylic medium for the horses' manes in a sculptural bas relief that continues onto the side of the canvas.
