About this artwork
A flowing composition of abstract foliage created from carefully cut and arranged vintage Japanese Kimono fabrics. Artist Tomo Mori set the design on a striking black background, even giving special attention to the sides of the canvas. The process gives new life to old and no longer used things, says Tomo. Part of her signature series of collage work created with a technique she calls 'canvas mosaic.'
