About this artwork
Unlike humans, this 'bot doesn't even have his life to lose by soaring through the wide blue yonder. Not much can happen to him that some metal shop tools can't mend. In his euphoric and reckless state of mind, he is aware of that and ecstatic because of it. A colorfully photographed magazine article on making salsa lent itself beautifully to the bright reds and deep greens that comprise his plummeting body. The sides are finished with torn scraps of different shades of solid, blue colors as a continuation of the background sky. The work comes with hardware attached and ready to hang.
